KüNO Verbund

The North and Baltic Sea face changes resulting from climate change and increasing demand for use. Furthermore changes in the catchment area also affect coastal ecosystems.  Paramount objective of the KueNO programme is to improve and provide knowledge and data for ecosystem based, sustainable management of coastal resources to stakeholders. The KueNO-Programme encompasses five collaborative projects in coastal and shelf research in the North and Baltic Sea funded through the Programme Research for Sustainable Development (FONA) of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
